Joanna Jensen started making homemade natural creams and tinctures from a young age. She discovered the healing properties of plants when growing up on a farm. When her baby was diagnosed with eczema, the lack of natural options were limited and boring!
Healing Skin Naturally
Her passion for all things natural led her to create a range that would suit the needs of her young family. The products are clinically tested by dermatologists and used by children with infantile eczema (and never tested on animals). Childs Farm fun, safe and effective for the whole family.
Farm to Face
Childs Farm places enormous value on quality; using essential oils and natural ingredients. “We only use the mildest essential oils that are safe to use on children. They are uplifting and their qualities can be calming,” explains Joanna. Cocoa and shea butter, argan oil and Vitamin E deliver nourishing moisture to the skin. “These ingredients are not revolutionary! The Egyptians used shea butter to protect themselves from windburn and sunburn. It’s the quality of the ingredients that sets us apart” says Joanna.
Childs Farm Family
As a family business, Joanna’s daughters Mimi (12) and Bella (10) are both a part of the decision making process. The girls are featured on the bottles with their very own farm animals. “We all want our children to get into good habits with their skin hygiene and cleanliness. It’s a life-skill!”
Joanna says her award-winning brand has countless testimonials and a loyal client base. “It’s great that people are taking a lot more notice of what they are putting on their skin” adds Joanna.
“We have to show our children that we are thinking about their future.” Childs Farm bottles are at least 30% post-consumer recyclable plastic and can be recycled. “Our new labels explain how to recycle our bottles properly – we say, ‘wash, squash and toss’!”
We can all minimise our footprint and use sustainable and natural products during bath time. Check out the amazing range available now at Coles and Woolworths.
