2 Ways to Read Minty!
From the Editor
When I was planning this issue, I knew I wanted an emphasis on mindfulness, but I felt apprehensive. Is it a bit 2019? Hasn’t it been done to death? Is it up there with ‘pivot’ and ‘unprecedented’ as words so overused, they have come to mean nothing?
But, when I really thought about it, I realised mindfulness can’t be a trend. It is actually an ancient practice that has stood the test of time in serving humanity, and for many in our contemporary world, it’s an essential way of life. So here we are. Issue 15, where mindful really does still matter.
This issue is full of beautiful rooms, practical ideas, thought-provoking editorial, and products to shop. Our good friend Jacquie Ward shares her insight as to why mindfulness should be front of mind with the young people in our lives. We share three surprising benefits of imaginative play and learn what is important to the designers of the beautiful rooms we are sharing. All with a nod to helping our kids achieve successful mindful practice. Because in this day and age, it is more important than ever.
It is always a joy to create this magazine. A privilege to share these beautiful spaces and I hope that it inspires you to create a little extra joy in your home.
