Get touchy and feely this season.

Velvet is a fashion stalwart traditionally reserved for the rich. And though we’d be the first to admit it’s an unusually glamorous textile choice for children, Incy Interiors founder Kristy Withers says Velvet is this seasons hottest trend!

The range draws inspiration from the Elizabethan era and comes in a moody palette of dusty pink, teal and deep indigo.

It breathes warmth and depth into any space and brings a pop of colour and lustre to cool-tone rooms.

We asked Kristy to share her top tips on how to get the “velvet touch”.

CONSIDER A VELVET BEDHEAD

Velvet headboards add strength and regal romance to your room. Incy Interiors Sybilla or Hugo Bedhead is a handsome choice – cushy but not lacking in delicate detail, textural interest and a hint of flamboyance.

Enjoy the royal treatment with cushion covers! Create extra layers of lush by mixing in a few different shades.

VELVET THROWS

Decorative velvet throws and quilts are one of the easiest ways to update your room. And, an affordable way to infuse extra Elizabethan decadence into your décor is to personalise each piece by monogramming your initials.
