The real reason we love the Boho trend

MINTY MAGAZINE BOHO BABE

There is no denying the boho trend at the moment. It is all around us. And, no surprise that it is featuring heavily in the kids space. The earthy tones and textures bring a chilled vibe to relax our little ones in their special spaces.

But for me, its more than just the chillaxed vibe. When we look deeper, what does Boho actually mean?

According to Yourdictionary.com:-

bo·ho. noun. The definition of boho is a shortened form of bohemian, meaning someone who doesn’t conform to society and is often focused on art. An example of boho is someone who wears unique clothes and holds art as their focus above all else

Here, in 2018,  I think we can all agree the boho trend is well and truely embedded into our society. As such, for me, its not the non-conforming to society that is as interesting in the definition. It is the focus of art above all else.

This brings me to what I really love about the boho trend. The craftsmanship. The focus on well made products using sustainable materials.

MINTY MAGAZINE BOHO BABEBoho Babe

This Boho Babe range created by Little Willow Vintage is a perfect example. Hand crafted, in Australia. Inspired by a love for textiles and a desire to create. The minimal approach of a time gone by. These are the true boho vibes. It is from these bones that the colour palette and the textures grow. Timeless and durable. Pieces made with love to last. It is simply stunning in principal and execution.

We’ve show cased this trend previously in Minty Real Rooms created for Ella and Ruby. 2 more stunning examples of craft(wo)manship at work, drawing from the boho philosophy.

Considering this deeper understanding of the boho trend is really is no surprise to see it work so effortlessly in our children’s rooms. Their sacred spaces to grow and learn, sleep and play. Quality products, in natural tones and textures that are made to last. It’s a match made in hippie-heaven.

By the way, this post isn’t sponsored. It’s completely my own words that I just felt inspired to share when I saw this gorgeous range xx
