jnr.life was born in Melbourne in 2018 from a desire for thoughtful, family-friendly products that complement grown-up interiors. Founders Nikki Davis and Ashleigh Pyke felt there was an opportunity to enter the baby and childrens’ interiors space with a more sophisticated and considered design approach. They launched with a must have quilted play mat, affectionately known as the boom boom – of which plays an important role in family life, right from birth throughout junior life their namesake. In December 2020, the range expanded with jnr.play – a collection of oversized soft-décor ‘play shapes’, handmade in Melbourne – created to push the bounds of junior play. The Australian lifestyle has always been paramount – their products are all designed to live with families indoors and outdoors. Since launch, jnr.life have committed to support families in need, by passing on $2 from every playmat sold to St. Kilda Mums.
