Acorn Kids

Acorn are busy little squirrels who love to design adorable sun hats, beanies, knitwear and accessories for little people. They are a small family operated team motivated by their principles of quality – buy once and buy well and kindness in using only ethical suppliers such as the women’s collective who hand-knit most of their winter range.

The Acorn Kids story began in 2010 when founder Fiona Savaris was on the hunt for a warm woollen hat with a bit of whimsy for her little girl. Finding nothing fun available with any wool content, Fiona decided to draw on her 10 years working in the fashion industry and Acorn Kids was born. Their winter range features lovingly hand-knitted merino wool and wool blend beanies, mittens and scarves that are so soft and sumptuous they feel just as amazing as they look, and importantly little ones are delighted to wear them all winter long.

While initially focused on winter items, the Acorn range quickly expanded to include their much loved UPF50+ sun and swim hats all adorned with unique and original prints designed by local artists and designers in Melbourne. With wide brims, Australian Standard UPF50+ rating and features such as adjustable crowns and chin cords an Acorn hat is a must for safely having fun in the sun this summer.
