For me, this dreamy room was an instant scroll stopper. Delighted to see a fresh colour palette in action, I immediately contacted Georgina Georgiou of Wool and Willow to share this beautiful space.

TELL US ABOUT THE OWNER OF THIS ROOM:
‘Christie has a love for dancing, pretty dresses, twirling around like a little ballerina and anything girly. You’ll find her constantly opening her wardrobe to wear her next dress and putting on her ballerina inspired shoes to only move onto the next mirror to star doing her makeup.
As much as she’s girly though she loves cars, dinosaurs and reading (or flicking through fairy-tale books)’
TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS:
‘Wool and Willow is my little creative outlet, from where I can share my love and passion for all things interior and homewares. My online store has helped me use my creativeness to design affordable homewares for all types of homes.
As a qualified interior designer, I have always had a creative side alongside my studies in graphic design and photography this has allowed me to help and grow my online business and interior styling.’

WHAT WAS THE BRIEF FOR THIS ROOM?
‘I gave myself the brief of avoiding the typical blush and grey girls room. I wanted to use the shades of blue and green in the room if possible and would keep the main furniture to neutral colours to be able to change and restyle the room as Christie grows older.’
WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION?
‘As Christie adores all things girly, sparkly, pretty dresses and dancing, I wanted something that would interpret this and be my starting point to the room. Once I found the Vee Speers, The Birthday Party girl print I knew it was a must for her room. As soon as she saw it she immediately pointed out the little girl’s dress and of course that she’s blowing bubbles, because what little kid doesn’t love bubbles right?’
HOW DID YOU SELECT YOUR COLOUR PALETTE?
‘Once I had the print I knew I would use that as my inspiration for the colour pallet and also incorporate the blue I originally loved as it’s a colour I haven’t seen around in girls rooms.’

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FEATURE IN THIS DREAMY ROOM AND WHY?
‘I must say hands down the feature wall and the custom wallpaper I had made up. From a far it’s simple and light. Although in person you can see all the small and finer details which makes the space dreamier.’
WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE?
‘The space and layout of the room. The two main full walls are opposite it self and then we chose a King single bed so once the bed was on the one wall it left minimal space in front of the bed to be able to use that space for something. So, I decide to keep the opposite side empty and have just a little storage and hanging area.
Having the bed pushed near the window then allowed more space for Christie to move around and play in her room.’
WHAT IS YOUR OVERALL FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THIS SPACE?
‘Over all I love the wallpaper and how it creates a soft girl vibe to the room along with the colours I used in the space. Both accent colours (deep pink and blue) are bold but still give the room so much warmth and personality.’
